FAQs & Shipping Info

We know you'll love our tea, but we also know you might have some questions while you're placing your order. If your question is not answered on this page, please feel free to contact us.

Where is your pick up location in Calgary?

You can pick up an online order from Curl Warehouse at 526 42 Ave SE in Calgary, Alberta. You will receive an email as soon as your order is ready for pick up.

How long does it take until my order will ship?

Our current processing times are listed on our contact page. Click here to see

How much is shipping?

Shipping costs depend on the weight of your order and your location. We have a nifty shipping cost estimator on our shopping cart page. Add something to your cart, then click on the cart icon in the top right hand corner of the page, and enter your postal or zip code to get a rough idea of your shipping costs. Usually these estimates are very close, if not exactly the same, as they are when you check out.

Where do I find steeping instructions?

Each tea has instructions for steeping it on its label if you purchased a bag, or on its page on our website if you have received a sample or tin. Please navigate to the tea you are interested in using the menu along the top of the page.

Are your teas organic?

Most of our teas are not organic. Our teas and ingredients are grown to EU conventional standards, which are a lot higher than Canadian and American standards. This means that our teas do not contain the high level of agricultural residues or additives that many supermarket brands do. We do, however, occasionally carry organic teas. You can also choose an organic tea for wedding or party favours at a small additional cost.

Are your teas vegan?

All of our teas contain no animal by-products and are made of plants, fruit, and spices. They are vegan (me too!), but not certified.

I'm allergic to _______. Will I find this ingredient in any of your teas?

The only allergen that you may find as an ingredient in our teas are nuts, mostly almonds (such as in Marzipan or Mulled Cider). We do not have peanuts in any of our teas. We do not use soy (including soy lecithin found in many popular commercial teas), milk, gluten, etc. in any of our processes, however we cannot completely guarantee that they have not come into contact with these items as our warehouse does process other products.

How long is my tea good for?

Once you open the bag, your tea will taste great for 2 years. This is the recommended shelf life for loose leaf tea. Tea goes stale rather than bad. It won't be as flavourful if you leave it longer than 2 years.

How should I brew my tea?

We include steeping instructions on all of our 35-50g bags of tea. These are guidelines only and are a great place to start on your way to brewing the perfect cup of tea. If you want a stronger brew, use more tea leaves. Don't leave your tea steeping for a longer period than the bag suggests as this may make your tea bitter!

Where can I buy your tea?

You can get our delicious loose leaf tea blends directly from us, or from one of our wonderful retailers

I love your ________ tea, but I can't find it on your website any more!

Sometimes we discontinue teas to make room for new stock! If your favourite tea is no longer available, please get in touch with us and we will see what we can do. Often we still have the ingredients available to create it for you!

I need my wedding favours in less than a month! Is this possible?

Yes, this is often possible, however you may incur a rush fee on your order if we need to quickly bring in any additional materials for you. Please email us and we'll see what we can do!

Do you accept returns?

We want you to be happy with your purchase. If you have an issue with your tea, please contact us. As our tea is a food product, we cannot accept returns for health and safety reasons. Customized favours are non-refundable. If your tea arrives damaged, please get in touch with us immediately.
